What personal data do we collect and why?
Comments
When visitors leave a comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string generated from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible within your comment.
Multimedia
If you upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Site visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our website, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and log in to this website, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also create several cookies to store your login information and your screen display preferences. Login cookies last two days and screen preferences cookies last one year. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. Expires after 1 day.

How long we keep your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so that we can acknowledge and approve any follower comments, rather than holding them in a moderation queue.
